Turning thirty in Vegas

For my 30th birthday (January 20, 2001), I went to Las Vegas for the weekend. Armed with a digital camera and a Linux laptop, I sought to document this strange trip and talk about my thoughts on leaving behind my twenties. Here's my essay and photos - I'm not a great photographer, and I didn't have as many wild times as Hunter S. Thompson in Fear and Loathing, but take a look and let me know what you think.
